The biggest advantage is that the sharp edges of the desk corners are protected from wrist or clothing sleeves because the corners fold down. (The extension tray in the photo had poor corner finishing, which made it feel scratchy and unpleasant.)
As a side note, for a vertical length of 30cm, the folded part of 2cm is not 28+2 but 30+2. Please take note of this. (In other words, 30cm is actually 32cm)
Personally, it would have been better if it had the size I wanted (65x25)... but what can't be helped can't be helped... (there wasn't that size of mousepad to begin with...orz)

The material is exactly as expected. The folding part at the bottom doesn't fold perfectly, so it sticks out. Unless you attach the folding side with tape or adhesive, it will keep sticking out. It's difficult to use a mouse here, but you can use a separate pad.
